Cubic printing, also known as water transfer printing, is a technique that can be used on different types of material, and consists of applying a design or decoration on surfaces, even if geometrically complex.
Cubic transfer films will be falttened at water,the pattern on the film is transferred under the action of water pressure on the workpiece which is sprayed with a primer or no primer. After the film is automatically dissolved, the workpiece with the pattern is cleaned, dried, and then sprayed again on its surface Topcoat for protection. Techenological process
| 1. Film Print |
A pattern is gravure printed onto water soluble film. |
| 2. Re-wetting of the Inks |
The film’s special features are brought out by the re-activation of the inks. |
| 3. Transfer |
The substrate is gently pushed onto the film floating on the water’s surface and a pattern is transferred by the water’s natural pressure. |
| 4. Film Residue Removal & Wash |
Once the film’s purpose is fulfilled, excess (unnecessary film) is washed away. |
| 5. Drying |
Drying off any remaining water particles during transfer. |
| 6. Top Coat |
Drying and protection of surface with a topcoat. |
